About The Artwork
I was inspired to do a painting of cockatoos as I used to have a pet cockatoo as a child. They are very intelligent , gentle creatures. I wanted to the painting to be very vibrant so I chose a bright blue for the background colour , which compliments the bright yellow crests of the birds. I like to paint in acrylics as they dry quickly as I'm not a very patient painter. They are painted on a deep stretched canvas which can be hung without the need for a frame.
