About The Artwork
I was inspired with the subject because of the power and intensity within the eyes but that she also appeared to have no visible soul. The subject looks like she feels lost and reaching out for love. In contrast the vibrancy of the colours throughout the rest of her face show how alive and youthful she is. It shows determination and positivity for success. As the acrylic paint dried relatively fast I was able to immerse myself into her personality and move with speed to put layers on top of each other. The style is that of Spontaneous Realism.
