About The Artwork
Color Field No. 16 The canvas gradient edges are complementary colors in reverse gradients. The use of the gradient center creates the push and pull. The color washes are double complementary color harmony in a repeat color combination. The modular grid of pearlescent powders mixed together to create color tiles and to entrap the color behind the gradient edge. The baseline grids create the depth and reverse movement. The raw canvas enhances the intermingling of colors and adds suede like finish.
