This was my first time experimenting with using colors to create warm and cold skin tones. It taught me a lot about the use of color for undertones before applying the actual skin tones. I initially wanted to hold on to it because it was only my 5th or 6th painting and was sort’ve a breakthrough for me but I need to clear out some space in my studio so I don’t begin hoarding sentimental work.

Self-taught artist located in the Bay Area, Ca. It’s funny, I actually started painting because I started acting. I’ll explain.. I always wanted to pursue acting and finally began studying at a school in San Francisco in 2018. This led to me being signed and booking a small role on a Netflix show. Great, right? Sort’ve. I got off to a good start but wasn’t prepared for the amount of downtime that was to come in between gigs. It was difficult to come to terms with the fact that acting was one of the few artistic pursuits that you can’t exactly do on the fly or on your own. Want to sing? Sing! Want to Dance? Dance! Want to act? Well, you see my point. There are many challenges and moving parts in the industry that lead to alot of waiting around. The creative void in my life was growing painfully by the day. I needed an outlet. I was always good at drawing so I thought I'd buy some supplies and mess around. Needless to say, a full-blown passion was born.
