I create paintings full of positive energy inspiring us to reconnect with ourselves, with others, with our environment. Small metaphors presenting with love and sensibility my reflections and feelings. People and places we interact with shape our lives, just as we shape them in turn. A perpetual dance of influences which fascinates me. But we rarely take time to observe those connections. In addition, our franctic way of life usually places little value on introspection, pauses, physical and mental well being. Reconnecting with ourself allows us to become aware of these deep ties which form an interconnected whole. Taking care of ourself, to take better care of this whole, which also takes care of us! My creativity is fed by those reflections highly influenced by my passion for nature, my curious and questioning mind and my personal experiences, including, studying yoga and becoming a full-time mother : two detours in my art journey that have had a profound impact on me. They changed my body, moved my spirit and infused my art practice with new questions about life and nature. We need, more then ever, inspiring images. This is why I create paintings full of positive energy inspiring us to reconnect. Beyond images, this aspiration to take better care of the living world is reflected in my art practice were I adopted sustainable materials. For example, I make my own gouache and watercolor paint from natural and non-toxic pigments. I also want to sensitize art lovers and artists through my blog and workshops. Visit my website for more details. __________ I live in Quebec city, Canada, close to my hometown, L'Islet, a beautiful village on the shores of the St-Lawrence river. I also spent twelve wonderful years in Ottawa were I completed a visual arts degree at the University of Ottawa.
