Concrete series 00005 Painting

This piece from my 'concrete series' explores further into the age, layer, art and decay that urban wall go through without us ever noticing. The concrete facade is achieved with mix of gesso, acrylic and sand. It is applied with a large palette knife. The gold in this piece which is akin to lichin growing up the wall is achieved by spraying gold paint onto a palette knife then applying it to the texture on the canvas. The edges of the canvas are painted black so does not necessarily require framing. I feel this painting works landscape or portrait, its really up to the viewer. This large canvas will be shipped carefully and safely packaged inside a purpose built wooden crate. Many thanks for viewing my work.
