ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Confluence of Worlds captures the magical moment when Earth and water meet, creating a space of transition between two distinct realms. In this intermediary zone, one can feel that time and space merge, that these two separate dimensions come to coexist and complement each other. The encounter is subtle and fluid, forming an eternal dialogue between depths and land.

Marcel attended the Popular Art school in his natal city, Arad, where he also started painting in oil at the age of 13. He participated in various national competitions in oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, and linocuts. Additionally, he attended cinematography courses for 3 years starting at the age of 16. A year later , he dedicated himself to wood sculpture for 5 years , earning a reputation for his undeniable talent. In an effort to introduce modernity to a country emerging from communism, Marcel started a furniture and upholstery production company alongside with his wife for 25 years. After a quarter of a century in the business world, he decided to leave Romania and travel in search of inspiration. He returned in 2018 to his first love, painting, with the intention of expressing his principles, ideas, and morals.
