About The Artwork
When I paint, it's usually due to some emotionally charged energy that I need to expel. At this moment I was experiencing turmoil in the current relationship that I was in. The emotion I was feeling at the time was that no matter what we were going through, we were still connected by our mutual love for one another. I have a tendency to paint with darker colors, and mostly trees. This to me perfectly reflects where I was at the time. No matter the terrain or surroundings, as long as there is love, you can survive. This was my second oil on canvas =)

About me? I am a single mother, trying to do the best I can. I have birthed four beautiful boys, 3 are living. Since my oldest committed suicide I have been trying to acclimate to life again. It's the same; but it isn't.... I have struggled my entire life to fit into boxes with impossible standards. I have had no formal art education; maybe someday. For now I am just painting what I know, and picking up along the way. Painting to me is an outlet, not a means for survival. While I dance across the line of life and spirituality, I embrace every moment. God is the only reason I have come as far in life as I have; I am the reason I have not gone as far as I could... I am thankful for every view I get, every 'pat on the back' I receive, every critique. I feel that art is ever moving, ever breathing, ever changing. Evolving as the times change.
