About my work: For my conspirators I want a group of men who are always up to something, always plotting, looking for a deal. I want a desperado feel to it. I want a bully in there but I like him to get his comeuppance (there is always a bully somewhere) and a boss with all his hangers-on, the people who do the bosses bidding, but maybe looking for a way to become the boss. Here the boss is holding a key and he’s thinking really hard, we don’t know what it’s about we will have to guess but you can be sure of one thing someone he will be up to no good. At the start 2018, the editors of ArtFinder tipped me for the top as one to watch and invest in, picked from thousands of outstanding artists and now I’m ending the year as one of their best selling artists. My work is displayed in over 32 countries, including some iconic places like Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach and Hollywood in California. Blanc a New York-based magazine wrote an article about me in the November issue; it went on to say Ta has a special interest in character development and portraying “a little of the night…coming from my dreams and imagination.” This combined with her passion for colour psychology draws the viewer in and leaves them there, whether Ta is using oil on canvas, charcoal and pastels, watercolours, acrylic on wood or pencil. To say that Ta is a versatile artist is an understatement—creating modern, contemporary, and folk art that includes portraiture and figure drawing in its vast subject matter and explores periods of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism with influences from Botticelli to Lowry and Magritte. Ta Thimkaeo: full-time independent Thai artist, creating large and small unique colourful works. COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette. Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
