Seriously attempting to marry the similarities between the molecular and the universal. Its a micro/macro cosmic synapse. It began and remains an insight into my thoughts as colours and space being expressed on canvas. I sometimes (ok a lot!) wake up with a layout in colour and design in my head. If (big if here) I can get that onto to canvas then brill. The patterns are a development of my thoughts and each and every dot on the canvas is an individual thought pulse. CosmicArt That connects me to Nature Nature is all things including the universe the microverse ..all, everything, including thoughts. Perhaps I have miss-named my art. It maybe more a sort of art of the mind. The shapes that one sees in Nature seem to repeat themselves by differing scales in my thought patterns. I see shapes due to my mood changes , these shapes when put on paper remind me of something (it could be a cell in the human body it could be a galaxy) in Nature. This may slightly be an oversimplification although I struggle to put my art into any such sub-titled dogmatic terminology ascribed to art by those who disparage my work. Not that I in anyway despise what these experts of art ascribed to, but feel that sometimes the critics can be sidelined by the modulated voices of those around them. I am not party to how critics come to their decisions so I maybe slightly off the mark there. What does appeal to me about my art is the difficulty in my mind to select a type or "pigeon hole" for it. Cosmic, Intergalactic, mental permutations of dreams induced by trauma?? Hard to say. When I have finished a painting it becomes the past, no longer living as it had been whilst under construction. Yet others see my art as living, having life continually moving and changing.
