About The Artwork
Here we have the beginning of a series called Showing Up. The first piece to start with is 'I'M HERE FOR YOU'. The hope is that the viewer will experience a joyous vibe upon walking into any room and continue to see different aspects each time they pause to see it. It is refreshing. Perhaps this is the perfect time to purchase it for your home or office decor. The dimensions are 36Wx48Hx1.5 inches. It has been created on a heavy-duty gallery-wrapped canvas. It was primed with gesso. Some light mark-making started the canvas creation using charcoal and pencils. Acrylic paints are my go-to. A coat of gloss varnish has been applied. The painting is wired and ready to hang on your wall after being delivered in a crate. The sides are painted using the same colors as used on the front. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
