Core #01 captures the essence of a vibrant core surrounded by encroaching darkness. The center radiates with intense reds, oranges, and yellows, symbolizing the warmth and energy of the core, while the surrounding cooler hues of deep blues evoke a sense of the surrounding darkness. The swirling, circular patterns create a dynamic tension between light and shadow, reflecting the contrast between the inner vitality and the encompassing gloom. I was moved to create this piece by the inner conflict we all face, a visual expression of how, even when darkness and negativity close in around us, there remains a radiant, glowing core within. This painting reflects the struggle between light and shadow, and the enduring warmth that persists, reminding us that no matter how overwhelming the darkness may seem, our inner light refuses to be extinguished. I hope this painting assists the viewer in visualising that in the end, they are their own strong and confident person, and they can overcome external pressures.
