About The Artwork

This series of six paintings is inspired by classical greek architecture and ressemble the capital (head) of a pillar of corinthian style. It evoques a sens of nostalgia, and reminds oneself that we are but traces in time and space. The mediums chosen are clay wash for its evocative properties and color, acrylique wash made out of bleu pigment and a clear coat of medium to produce a feeling of depth. The artwork has been produce by applying a serpent shaped form diped in liquid medium repeatedly on the surface of the canvas. The painting should be hung high on the wall for it to gain architectural presence.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I've been at work, mainly in drawing and painting, and showing my work for almost thirty years. I'm interested in revisiting classical greek esthetics through an exploration of forms and techniques related to the gesture of drawing. I attemp to link my approach to a contemporary state of culture and sensitivity, in a firm nostalgic attitude (understood as the sens - or pain - of rupture from the origins.
