About The Artwork
I had been looking for a few weeks for a new way of representing nature, whether in colors or composition. Several techniques have been used to realize the material effects of this solar landscape. From the brush to the knife to the roll and cloth, I used various tools to erase, apply, melt and superimpose colors, creating different styling effects in the same pictorial unit. Many glazes were needed to shade the sky while the erasures were numerous to realize the ground parts. The impression sought is a heat that emanates from everywhere, bathing each plot of land and sky in an intense yellow light. https://youtu.be/my-TAPMsezk
