ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The third in a series I created for Mental Health Awareness Month (May), titled Courage. Inspired by my daughter's struggle from the age of 12 with mental illness, this painting depicts the strength and courage I witnessed each day. It wasn't until she became an adult that she was properly diagnosed with BPD, Borderline Personality Disorder. Many of my paintings have been inspired by my daughter and her continued journey and recovery.
