Creation of She Painting

Brook Lauer explores the moments in life where time seems to stand still. The space between where one cycle has ended and another is about to emerge...it is in that place we become and ideas for creation are spawned. Layers have been shed and we are new and fleshy in our growth. Using raw canvas she stitches a meandering line that scars and tells a winding story. The pigments bleed and saturate making stains not unlike memories full of color and life. Imagergy of nature help convey and connect us to that human experience through her sybolism. Those are the things we carry in our stories...but with each turning page like every new day, the freshness of what is yet to come sits upon the horizon.
