About The Artwork
This work is already framed. Heidi was a female cross-eyed opossum from Virginia (USA). She lived most of her life in Leipzig Zoo (Germany). She became famous in December 2010, when her photograph was published by German tabloid Bild. She inspired a popular song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8romj2KKZ09) and lots of YouTube videos. My painting features Heidi coming back to her lair, early at dawn (opossums are nocturnal animals).
