Crowning of Thorns Painting

This was a very spiritual painting for me, initially was working on it on a week to week bases. But at the end, I took it home to complete and painted non-stop for 36 hours to finish it off. I felt during this time I could not make a mistake and worked so hard on the detail, it was as if my hand moved automatically without thinking. At the conclusion, I went to bed. I awoke 4 hours later realizing I had not seen the painting. I got up from bed and went to where the painting was when I saw it for the first time a shiver ran down my back, I could not believe I had painted it. I hope the viewers when looking at the painting can see the feeling I got when I saw it for the first time. One other thing is that the eyes appear neither opened or closed.
