About The Artwork
I did this painting as part of my series about my local area of Santa Rosa Beach. One of the things I love in my area are all the curly oaks that grow near the coast and bay here. They swirl and dance usually over underbrush of palm meadows and create cascades of shade as well as interesting patterns as their branches go in every direction and cross over each other. I wanted to capture the movement in this. I also tried to capture some of the light coming through the cascade. This art work comes with custom floater frame I built with wood base and a metal facing. I hope you enjoy!
