About The Artwork
Dia de Muertos Twins is a textural, abstract painting diptych. Each canvas is 12x24". Using a base layer of paper applied to the canvas creates a unique texture to paint on. With a slash of papers through the painting coming off the canvas about 3/4 inch or so. Followed by layers of deep red acrylic, deeply glossed. The focal of each being the brother and sister skulls, and orange/red marigold depictions. The texture and color wrap around the sides, allowing the work to be hung without the need for framing. Yet would look great framed as well, at your discretion.
