Daddy do monster live here, old Stumpy Sherwood forest Painting

My daughter and I where walking and sketching during a trip to Sherwood forest. Being 5 years asked if this old stumpy tree was a monster. I was interested in sketching these old oak trees and found that her question inspired me to create a series of paintings which explored the old magic of these oak trees. Legend has it that this tree used to take souls at night if you where in the woods after dark. I have used pen & ink drawing then painted with Acrylic paints to create a impression of this mythic oak tree.
