The flower is painted to provide comfort and is a bright spot for the future. Trust in the future is important. This daffodil is mysterious. The painting has the atmosphere of black and white photography from early times. Is the daffodil illuminated by the sun or perhaps it blooms in the moonlight? The white outlines let the flower stand out from the background. It also has a symbolic meaning. The line 'embraces' and 'protects' the flower.

Artist ART Eva Maria SOURCE OF INSPIRATION "Looking at people's faces and trying to figure out how they feel and what they think - that is my source of inspiration. This mysterious aspect fascinates me. Afterwards I will tell my own story - in colours and lines - about these people using various visual tools." I see nature (both landscapes and faces) as a gift that shows itself to me. I'm trying to catch the feeling that's inside of me, while being an observator. Showing the reality is not important, it's my personal impression and emotion that I wish to communicate. This is a very intuitive process during which my hand glides on paper or canvas. This way I am able to tell my own story in layers, colours and lines. Afterwards the art is not mine anymore and open to other people's eyes, making new stories as well. I'm always searching for new ways for my art (small to large sizes, different techniques) to travel and show themselves to public.
