About The Artwork

Daisies and cornflowers in a basket - oil, canvas, 24x19(cm) - 9,5”x7,5”, artist: Tatjana Cechun, 2023, Vilnius (Lithuania) It is very pleasant to give and receive bouquets, but it is not always possible to surprise them. This is just a bundle in which the stems of plants are collected, even if they are beautiful and fresh. Such a gift as a bouquet is devoid of mystery and zest. Therefore, sometimes it is better to present a basket of flowers as a token of attention.Of course, the buyer decides what to choose - a bouquet or a basket of flowers, and in any case, he will be right. Each option has its fans.

I was born in the capital of a small Baltic country in a family of artists 51 years ago. I've been drawing since I was a child, as long as I can remember. I was friends with a neighbor boy whose parents were also artists. That's why he and I grew up in a creative environment. Perhaps such an environment (poets, artists, musicians, artists) influenced my development. I drew always and everywhere, and often automatically (unconsciously) . At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, I, as is typical of young people, was a terrible maximalist. It seemed to me that I already know everything and know how to do everything. My parents wanted me to continue my studies at the Art Academy.
