About The Artwork
This oil painting shows the harmony between sky and sea. The viewer is invited to dream and relax. The perfect pespective in the picture also captivates the viewer´s gaze. I worked using a little known technique. The first layer was applied with an acrylic paint. In a second layer the oil paint was applied. Than the oil paint was scraped off the canvas. What remains is the motif, the harmonic movement of the waves. The sky was worked out with a palette knife. So hardly any brush was used for this oil color painting. The canvas was streched by myself on a table in a 4 cm wide frame.The frame is very stable. My love to creativity and my addiction to painting keeps me going on, creating again and again something different. The painting is sold unframed with painted edges and ready to hang. Each of my paintings tells a story. I play with colors, materials, textures and fabrics. Most of time I spend "composing" the painting. I have to see it in front of my inner eye. However I have to know only the direction I want to goe. Only than I can start painting. At the beginning I don´t know how the pictures will look at the end. The picture guides my hand and tells me how it will go on. I only relay on my inner pictures and I play with my fantasy and imagination. It is my way to paint a picture and it is a way which makes me happy.
