Babak Victor Dance of Lines, 2018, 40*80 Enamel painting on canvas Viktor Babak was born in Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine). He began his artistic activity in the picturesque mountainous region of Prycarpathia where he received his training in traditional arts and crafts (artistic carpentry sector), from 1977 to 1981. Currently, the artist works mainly on the creating designer furniture. Painting is another important activity in his life. The artist finds his inspiration in the nature of the Carpathians, with its rich flora and fauna. He likes to make realistic works (portraits, animal subjects) as well as abstract compositions and uses the pastel and acrylic techniques. His works are exhibited in private collections in Canada, Italy, Poland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the United States and Ukraine. Victor Babak has participated in many exhibitions in Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kolomyya, Chernivtsi) and abroad (notably the International Online Art Exhibition “UNLOCKED” in China in 2020 and the Golden Time Distant Festival in Great Britain in 2021).
