About The Artwork
My work was inspired by female figure and the psychological/emotional statements conveyed by the human body. Through my work I hope that the viewers will see the human figure as form of expression of the internal world and not the literal beauty of the body itself. Figures with the hands up seem like they are dancing all together in a ritual rhythm that will lead them to an emotional catharsis. I chose oil painting that at the time I believed would made me to succeed to express my idea better than any other medium.

I was born in Larnaca in 1974 where I currently reside. In 1998 I attended Spalding University in Louisville Kentucky U.S.A. and graduated in 2001 earning the degree of BA in Fine Art and Art Teacher Secondary Education. The following year I attended the Western Kentucky University were I graduated in the year 2003 with the degree of Master in Art Education (MAE). I had five solo exhibitions in Cyprus and USA, and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Cyprus, USA, Japan, Egypt and Bulgaria. My artwork can be found in public and private collections and permanent exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad.
