Dancing Queen Painting

This piece is part of a serie called Happy Feet which celebrates my passion for dance and well you know...shoes...Each piece is composed of the painting, the story written on the back and a song . On the back of this one you can read : Some would kill for a Paris couture next season front row seat, I would for a Sambadrome Rio de Janeiro one any year...better I would for any spot on the concrete ground of the Sambadrome, even just once in my life...It’s not only the shoes, or the feathers, can’t believe I’m writing this because I can picture myself so well in those... It’s not even for the Dance...yes well it’s a lot for the Dance but it’s about what dance can do for the world besides the fact that it makes you feel so happy... It’s about that sense of community, of belonging to something bigger and the resilience it gives you...Hard life, poverty, drugs won’t stand a chance in front of these minutes...You will revel in it completely, intensely, next Monday won t even exist and Last Monday was entirely absorbed in being there... Like they say in Rio, nothing is never ready, never as planned and yet every year it happens, and the year after ... Everything will start exactly like last year and the dozens of year before that...this we know...just as I know that at least the size of my thighs is perfect for that catwalk....
