"Danse Aquatique" (Aquatic Dance) evokes a perpetual motion within an aquatic world. The overlays and interweaving of green and blue hues create a fluid and soothing atmosphere. Shades of green suggest submerged plant life, while blues evoke the mysterious depth of the waters. The entirety of the artwork intends to be a visual celebration of the elegant and infinite dance of aquatic life, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in an abstract realm. "Danse Aquatique" évoque un monde aquatique en mouvement perpétuel. Les superpositions et les entrelacements de teintes vertes et bleues créent une atmosphère fluide et apaisante. Les nuances de vert suggèrent la vie végétale immergée, tandis que les bleus évoquent la profondeur mystérieuse des eaux. L'ensemble de l'œuvre se veut une célébration visuelle de la danse élégante et infinie de la vie aquatique, invitant le spectateur à plonger dans un monde abstrait.

Hi! I'm Anik Lapointe, a self-taught painter fueled by creativity! Living in the Eastern Townships (Quebec, Canada), I began my artistic journey in 2007, initially through ambient photography and especially exploring abandoned places (urbex and rurex). Having long been drawn to painting, it was in 2019 that I took the plunge and created my very first canvas. Then, I discovered a new passion for abstract art. Blending various media such as acrylics, collage, markers, oil sticks, and more, my art is characterized by soft and luminous abstract works. I let myself be guided initially by colors and what they evoke in me at the moment of creation, followed by spontaneous movement. In addition to using brushes, I apply paint with various objects at hand to create different shapes and textures. I appreciate the transparencies that reveal multiple layers and often incorporate pencil lines as a final touch. I explore different styles, always within abstraction because life is too short to limit oneself to just one style. I want to have fun!
