About The Artwork
Explores found elements and objects in landscape. Based in peak district found during mountain bike ride. Found this skull placed on a post while riding my bike in the Peak district. I stopped and did a quick sketch and took a few photographs. When I returned to the Studio I decided it is such a strong image that I should make a oil painting to explore the weather and hard landscape of the Peak district. I was interest in why the farmer Had placed the Sheep skull on the post was it a warning to us all to be care full.
