About The Artwork

This piece is inspired by the Jesus and Mary Chain track. It’s red, black and white with some nice foggy grey tones underneath. It was created on Christmas Day 2018. It’s a one of a kind.   “Where the darklands are / And I awake from dreams / To a scary world of screams / And heaven I think.”

I was born and raised in Toronto and still live in Toronto. I'm a musician / remixer and I blog about new music from around the world. When I decided to pick up a paint brush as another artist avenue, it was obvious to me that there had to be a musical vein running through all of my artwork. My creative process: I listen to a track on repeat while creating each piece. The music leads the hand and mind to put paint on the canvas based on what I'm hearing. Each artwork is named for a song title that was listened to during the creative process. I work with acrylics and mostly work on canvas or wood. I also use various other non-traditional items like sandpaper and alcohol distress things when needed.
