About The Artwork
Daivika Apsara are divine ethereal female beings who inhabit the skies and are often depicted as taking flight. Apsaras are sometimes compared to the muses of ancient Greece or seen as sent to distract a sage or spiritual master from his ascetic practices. The figure is rendered in fine glossy acrylic, the background is matte with expressionistic chrysanthemums in rich glossy oil impasto. The artwork is presented on deep gallery style stretchers, wired and ready to hang on the wall. The artwork can also be offered in a handcrafted standing walnut frame inspired by antique standing mirrors. The standing framed piece measures from the top of canvas to the floor 79". The base measures 35" across and 24" deep on the floor. The deluxe standing hardwood frame would be at an additional cost. Images of standing frame are available in the attached photos.
