About The Artwork
This work was inspired by a beautiful Mother's Day brunch we had at the Golf Course Yocha Dehe in Cache Creek California. The majesty of the terrain inspired me to go to a larger scale. I utilized atmospheric perspective to show the depth of the valley while using more impressionist/expressionistic brushstrokes in the foreground to convey the rich textures. This painting was Acrylic and is one of my larger works.
