About The Artwork
This acrylic piece is quite roughly painted with bigger gestures than my other paintings. The lovers are in bed but this bed is covered with a turquoise sheet that intends to symbolise the purity of the love between them. In Middle Eastern, North African and East European ancient cultures turquoise represents cleanness, virtue and immaculacy. However the theme is very obvious, human and temporal the colours and the position of the hands show their unity in pure love.
