About The Artwork
This piece is achieved using the butterfly effect of folding the paper. A few spatula scrapes prior to folding create the cross pattern. The purple has some shine to it, and reminds me of the night sky. The deep greens and black give the sensation of being deep in the forest, in mountains, perhaps even lost, but with a clear path to follow.

In high school, I focused more on photography, but soon got back into painting and drawing. I studied graphic design for a little over a year at IFAC (International Fine Arts Institute) in Miami, before switching to a full time study of architecture. I fell in love with the challenges and complexity of architecture, and took my career on that path. Today, I own my own architecture firm, Herrera Studio.
