This painting depicts the heroic story of the defence of the city of Mariupol in the Russian-Ukrainian War. In order to capture the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, Russian troops bombed it mercilessly. The Ukrainian soldiers defending Mariupol took refuge at the Azovstal plant. The enemy bombed Azovstal mercilessly. As a result, the city of Mariupol was turned to ashes.
