Acrylic paint with 3D bolt lock on stretched canvas (width 30cm h height 100cm x depth 3cm) This canvas was influenced by the Removal of Confederate monuments and memorials after the global awakening to the extent of systemic racism the world has previously accepted. Britain squirmed as the US removed statues that celebrated a dark and racist fuelled past. Statues across the UK were soon removed and the two door on this canvas show the degradation of the 'blue blood' that has now been exposed as having build its foundations on a racist past. The gap between these doors is wide and depicts the exposure of the dark hidden history of 'Great Britain' and the USA. This painting features 3D woodgrain, gate bolt and nails.
