Delirium Painting

Signed prints available on my etsy or website. Delirium was painted while I was in a manic state. I added my tears to the canvas because I cried for three days straight. Unaware of anything being truly wrong in my life but embracing the wave of emotions that wanted to use me as a conduit to create art. When I woke, I was sent a photo from my friends on the west coast of the smoke filling the air as the fires consumed the forest and homes. I saw a red sunset and thought of the beauty from feeling the weight of it all. I let my mind go when I create art. I think of my mental breakdowns as artistic breakthroughs. Like I am giving birth to something that through "making love" with everything around me, I have allowed to grow safely inside of me until its ready to come into this world. In this painting you will see three red suns, the three days I cried. Darker, haunted looking trees, veins, and yonic resemblance in the colorful shapes. How often do we feel a weight from a collective shift that may not be our own emotion? This piece will be sent with the hardware to hang it.
