About The Artwork

This painting was inspired by the work of Belgian artist Jean Verame who painted a pile of large rocks in the desert outside of the Moroccan town of Tafraout. I first visited this part of the world in 1990/1991 during the first Gulf war. There were no tourists there for obvious reasons so i had the place to myself. A beautiful country full off wonderful people and some very good hashish. I was really stoned when i first went there, and although the painted rocks were faided by the desert sun it was still memorable and well worth the effort. Check it out if you ever go there.
