About The Artwork

Painted with joy and a quest for learning, 'The Creation of Adam' holds a special place in my artistic journey. Created approximately 25 years ago (in 2001), it stands as one of my masterpieces, showcasing the culmination of skill and passion. The intricate detailing reflects not just the beauty of Michelangelo's original work but also my personal growth as an artist. This piece is a testament to the joy of creation, the thrill of learning, and, ultimately, the satisfaction of translating imagination onto canvas. I invite collectors to appreciate the journey embedded in this artwork and the craftsmanship that defines its enduring charm. Some facts and figures of "The Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo: Location: The fresco "The Creation of Adam" is situated on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City, Rome. Michelangelo painted it between 1508 and 1512. Positioning: The artwork is part of a larger composition on the ceiling depicting scenes from the Bible. "The Creation of Adam" occupies a central position, portraying the moment when God imparts life to Adam. Symbolism: The famous touch between the outstretched fingers of God and Adam symbolizes the moment of creation, emphasizing the connection between the divine and the human.

Colorful light painting or large-format charcoal works in black and white contrast, motifs from untouched nature or the automotive industry – my motto: "Diversity and Inclusion": I enjoy taking advantage of the variety of possibilities that are given in the creative process, both in terms of motif and technique, in order to interpret my environment in the best way possible. The beginning: The start of my art career began in 1994 at the young age of 13. At that time, I began to deal intensively with the subject of oil painting in an autodidactic way. I opened my first solo exhibition in 1996 in my hometown Bad Dürkheim. At that time, the focus was on nude paintings, which attracted attention even nationally. The development: More solo and group exhibitions followed in the years after. Over time, the focus of my motifs changed several times: after nude paintings, a longer phase of modern still life, abstract works and landscape paintings followed. It has always been important to me to constantly develop myself, to try out new things, to work on different topics and techniques. The technique of choice for a long time was and still is oil on canvas - while at the same time the use of strong colors is a recurring theme throughout my entire work. In contrast to this are large-format charcoal works that reduce the viewer's gaze to the essentials of a character. What it is about: On the one hand, the subject matter of my work often touches on the beauty of simple things, the untouched nature that is also inspired by many international travels. On the other hand, there are motifs that appear only in so-called "moments": moments that show the beauty of a motif, the composition of a work for a brief moment, that invites the viewer to linger before the "grey" of everyday life makes them disappear again! Summarized in view words: Positive, optimistic, fresh - a reality condensed with colors!
