About The Artwork
The mosaic was created for the traditional exhibition that accompanies the Sumadija Wine Festival. I was inspired by Dionysus and his meeting with Ariadne. The face of Dionysus is a mirror in which anyone can reflect if stands in front of the mosaic, because it is measured by the dimensions of the face. Ariadne is my self-portrait. The cycle of mosaics I made in which a mirror appears instead of a face, I called - Kermis classicism.
