About The Artwork
This piece was created during the week of the Covid 19 pandemic Los Angeles riots. I needed a place to escape the overwhelming stress of death and strife. Human against human was staggering. A few months before I had been more ill then ever in my life, not with Covid, but something that wrecked my body to the point of hospitalization. The utter fragility of my form, that it could fail me had a prodigious effect on my perspective, bring me so directly back to the preciousness of life, of every human life. This piece embodies an intensity of human emotion, trauma, fear, despair, … that through time is processed somehow landing back on hope and love ready to begin again.
