About The Artwork
It is a story of meeting. I lived and studied in Japan and saw a white dog on the street several times, which appears to be of a Japanese dog breed, but when I looked at it I felt like I was looking at a universal dog, faithful, lively, agile. I took it in picture and I painted him in several forms, trying to capture its freedom, its strength and its presence and the moment of this meeting. I painted it with my usual tools : large brushes with oil on canvas. I hope this dog portrait will protect you and give you the same feeling when looking at it.
