About The Artwork
This Diptych was inspired by the movement of two rivers joining together with two different colours and intensities. While in Iquitos Peru I was fortunate enough to see where two powerful rivers join; The Amazon River and The Nanay River. One was brown and the other so dark green it looked black, they were so different in colour and strength. I found it beautiful the way they merged so effortlessly becoming one. I used the bright tropical colours of the rainforest and different painting techniques to show two different energies flowing side by side.
