 I invite you to observe the paintings with an open mind and an open heart - allowing the feeling to make an impression on your soul. Each piece of art is an offering with the intention of contributing to a more peaceful and connected existence between people of different origins and experiences. When I greet the canvas, I am open to whatever presents itself as the next creation to be animated into life. I feel like I am a delivery vessel for a spirit to be placed onto a canvas to be observed and enjoyed. Energetic motion and vitality are prominent features of the art. Some paintings jump, while others seem to flow eloquently off the canvas.
 Influenced by growing up on an island and living on or near water most of my life, the art that I create often embodies the graceful, flowing, and sinuous nature of water. The acrylic paintings are actually formed with a fluid mixture of mostly a liquid medium and a small amount of viscous, colorful acrylic paint. The paintings live, breathe, and exude water, fire, and earth elements. 
 I have found that the texture and three dimensions of the paintings are difficult to represent in an electronic image. I have “seen” the world through the purity of a child; corporate American eyes and ears; a woman’s mind, body, and spirit; a healer’s touch; and both a student’s and a teacher’s perspectives. I understand and appreciate how much more there is to know and experience, as well as, how much more compassion, and understanding we need to cultivate peace within ourselves first, and then with others. My passion is learning, growing, and sharing that which I create (know) with others to improve the human experience which spans artificial boundaries of countries, nationalities, races, and religions. My you find your inner peace.
 In addition to the visual arts, I have designed unique healing-arts teachings of yoga, meditation, massage, and/or art programs that benefit people from all backgrounds. Studying Eastern philosophies and methodologies is a passion of mine that has deeply influenced my art. Integrating the knowledge of many modalities into valuable programs of healing arts is a joy and an honor.
