Double Dare Painting

"Double Dare" is a 20"x24" on gallery wrapped canvas done in acrylic, impasto. Sometimes, when sitting with a finished painting, contemplating the title, I look for poetry to help me with the title. Below is the quote that spoke to me. It is not the critic who counts; not the person who points out how the strong one stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Theodore Roosevelt Strong words yes, but painting your heart and soul and putting it out there, hoping you'll touch another soul is a very brave act! Daring Greatly are the words that spoke to me. The act of painting our soul and emotions is an act of daring greatly. We talk about making good art and bad art and to me the act of making is noble in itself. "Double Dare" is created on a 20"x24"x1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas. It is finished with a protective varnish and is wired and ready to hang. It ships flat in sturdy box.
