About The Artwork
This painting was a discourse on the theme of a photograph of Stephen Shore, which I wanted to extend and turn it into a set design. At that moment I was fascinated by the American style and description of everyday life: Edward Hopper, Wim Wenders, Coen Brothers ... This is the world that they inherited from the pin-ups of the 50s, with which they work in their art. Simple laconic colors, subjects. But all of them are united by the fact that they see the world through the prism of compassion. One could laugh at the naivety of the American dream, but these artists, through their observations, bring a much more serious message. "It's called an American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."
