My father died over 40 years ago of untreated alcoholism. We had a very poor relationship that didn't fully resolve itself until over 20 years after he passed away. I often wonder what he would have looked like if he hadn't died so young. This just came out of my head while thinking about these things. I think its what I would have liked him to look like; a handsome man, dressed well with a look that invites conversation... something we never had much of. Anyway, the therapy I got surrounding this relationship really worked and my feelings towards him changed dramatically. I think you can see that here in this portrait.
