About The Artwork
I remember this about my grandmother's house in Trenton , New Jersey. She always had a drinking bird in her plumber's supply store on Prospect Street.I found them to fascinating then and now, as they are thermodynamic, heating machines which cause the bird to "tip and drink." I hope my viewer has the same curiosity and that this painting takes him back to a time when life was fun and inviting! The Gesso was applied loosely to give the painting a feeling of "movement."
