Ingrid has led numerous travel groups to Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. On these trips, and including trips to Australia, China, and Hawaii, she has researched the ancient pictographs and petroglyphs that are the subject of her most recent paintings. These ancient pictures, carved and painted on the rock walls, are being destroyed due to erosion, looting, modern man's pollution, and vandalism. Through her paintings of these recorded images, she hopes to encourage the respect and appreciation of this ancient art form that connects us to a shared and distant past.
