In September of 2009 Ingrid opened her current atelier where she teaches classes workshops, and holds art exhibitions. She is a member of the NWS, TWSA, and IWS and is the winner of numerous awards for her paintings. Her paintings are included in the collections of the Jane Goodall Institute, H.R.H. She has had numerous one woman exhibitions including the Tavern Club in Chicago, Arms Akimbo Gallery, Santa Fe Gallery, Madison,WI, American West Gallery, Chicago, and her own gallery, Ingrid's Originals Inc. Ingrid has led numerous travel groups to Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. On these trips, and including trips to Australia, China, and Hawaii, she has researched the ancient pictographs and petroglyphs that are the subject of her most recent paintings. These ancient pictures, carved and painted on the rock walls, are being destroyed due to erosion, looting, modern man's pollution, and vandalism. Through her paintings of these recorded images, she hopes to encourage the respect and appreciation of this ancient art form that connects us to a shared and distant past.
