About The Artwork
Paint and torn paper on 1/8-inch canvas panel, mounted onto 5/8-inch black wood panel, wired for hanging. Inspired by Argyle sweaters and socks, spotlighting the source. The sheep is based on the Scottish blackface, which is the most common breed found in the United Kingdom and is known for it hardiness. Currently on display at Studios on the Park in California and will not be available until after August 28, 2022.

Most of my adult life has been spent working with animals, including at the San Diego Natural History Museum, the San Diego Zoo, and the Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney, Australia. I have travelled the world studying animals and working in animal conservation. Now I use those memories as inspiration for the art that I create, and I use my art to help animals.
